Way back in 1995 Microprose released X-COM 'Enemy Unknown' for the playstation. This was loved so much that they quickly followed it up with X-COM 'Terror from the deep.' And they weren't finished yet either but hey those 2 games are the foundation of this site!!

Highways Agency Traffic Officers operate under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and were launched onto the M25 in the summer of 2005. One year later, after a number of attempts at giving these transport guardians a platform to discuss their business on freely, THIS site saw the light of day.
The Horse Rangers Association was originally founded by Raymond Gordon in Shepperton and through royal connections, moved to the Royal Mews at Hampton Court Palace in 1963. It is a wonderful organisation if you can afford the fees. I was paying £80 a month back in the 1990s and thought that was pretty expensive but that's a whole other debate. The unofficial site is really for old ex Horse Rangers to reminisce over the old photos and videos but current members are more than welcome of course!!

national-PCSOs was launched 2 years after PCSOs were first appointed. It was the first unofficial website to cater only for PCSOs and today is the leader of just a handful of unofficial sites to cater for PCSOs in the UK.
One month after nationalTraffic was launched, back up forums were set up in case the live forums dropped out. This site lacks the speed, tech support and power of the live forums but does seem to offer reliability and function well enough for these purposes. Hopefully we will never need to find this out in earnest.
